Wine, wine and more wine

Hi everyone, following on from a delicious bbq last night we left this morning to travel down the coast to Cape  Leeuwin lighthouse. Mrs C and I stupidly decided to walk the 178 steps to the top.....imfho this was a big mistake but we made it. (For the benefit of Mark Allen who enjoys having his knowledge widened it bangs out one million candles of light 45 miles out to sea)
Amazingly about half our party also climbed up without the need for oxygen or cpr. Within our group there are a few couples who are a bit up their own arse but most are ok and we have tagged up a bit with Anna and Keith who are very similar minded to us....ie they like a drink and a laugh.
Then it was on to the Leeuwin Estate winery for wine tasting (or quaffing) and this was followed by a fab 3 course meal, surprisingly with loads of wine. I must confess to leaving the meal early and having a lie down beneath a eucalyptus tree.....had a bit of a head....
So now back at Yallingup Lodges sitting on veranda trying to sober up.Still having trouble with photo posting but some up there. A quiet night ahead as 630 start tomorrow as drive up to Perth airport and nearly 3 hour flight to Alice Springs.....The scale of this country takes some comprehending.
Oh I almost forgot to say I saw a kangaroo and an emu while on coach ride today though I am not believed by all as no one else saw anything.....
