Tropical rain forest

The poor weather forecast meant we could not go ballooning on Monday morning...and have just heard it's not happening tomorrow either. ....so we decided to go into the rain forest to a small town called Karunda about 10km up the mountains. We got the sky rail up the mountain which was  both brill and shit scary. There was mist over the tree canopy, cockatoos in the trees etc. We stopped at Barron falls for a peek then arrived at Karunda which was a pretty  town full of arty shops and restaurants. ...We did the jungle walk around the town for a hour or so, had some lunch and then went back to Cairns via the train.
That evening it was a meal at Barnacle Bills seafood restaurant where Mrs C  may have had a little bit more than intended on the wine front.....
